I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them on the sand,
Half sunk, a shatter'd visage lies, whose frown
And wrinkled lip and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamp'd on these lifeless things,
The hand that mock'd them and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear:
"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains: round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

The Nazca Lines
In southern Peru there are 1000s of huge petroglyphs scratched into the desert floor. What made their creators design them to be seen from the air? Most are perfectly designed...why does one appear to have been drawn by a child aged 5?
In Baalbek, Lebanon, near the present Syrian border, an ancient race quarried, lifted, moved & placed, with supreme precision, stone Blocks weighing up to 2000 tonne. Any lifting system is only as strong as its weakest part. Did the ancients really only use manpower & rope?
